"Even with crude down X% on Thursday I noticed continued strength in O&G names and some of them quite a bit higher than the June spike. Reeks of accumulation. $XOM a few % from highs. Strength in travel related names $HLT $MAR $WYNN $RCL $VIK $DAL $LUV. Agreed on speculative names. Quantum was already breaking lower on Wednesday Thursday when markets were printing ATH. I actually think long $IWM short $QQQ makes some sense here until we see some materialization of rate cuts. Positioning tells us the most offsides trade right now is short the Russell so that makes sense to see it outperforming"
