"They can't completely control it. There would be ways to piggy back on the network we're "not alowed to use" and many ways to prop up other types of networks that could access blockchains for the purpose of running a currency/token/store of value. They control the current infrastrucure through fiat that's it. If that goes away it just means we need to get creative and we will. They can't stop us and we can also tinker with things from the inside to apply pressure. Their power is limited"
