"I will disagree that consumer choice is the indicator. The only thing preventing mass adoption is Unsupervised FSD. Right now as an add-on to your own car FSD Supervised just feels like watching over your dying grandma drive. However FSD as an enabler for a Robotaxi fleet has value because in that use case customers only care about safety and price/mile. And in that category FSD is a true game-changer. The time between having no FSD to fully-autonomous (which is where we are right now) is clunky because it doesn't serve any real purpose except being a beta-tester for a future game-changer."
