Could you explain to me your philosophy around portfolio allocation for dividend stocks I am nearing retirement and have the vast majority of my money in growth stocks some of which pay little to no dividend. I plan on converting some percentage of them to dividend stocks eventually since I will need the income at that point. In the meantime my growth stocks are helping me keep up with the market (S and P 500). I am under the impression that dividend stocks while delivering income and lower volatility generally suffer from lower total returns vs the market."
