"Red Sox could offer this to Lucas Giolito. With the belief that they'll add a legit #2 SP to slot in between Crochet and Bello that would make Giolito the 4th SP. And for 1-year/$22M I think that's pretty good value without sacrificing long term flexibility. Plus if he declines the QO the Red Sox get a draft pick. So right now I'm leaning towards wanting the Red Sox to give Giolito the QOso long as he's healthy enough to log 130+ innings in 2026. Always good to have a veteran on the staff especially one familiar with the organization. Also worth noting Giolito's 2025 numbers are a bit skewed"
