"Sorry I missed this. X HR while pitching had only been accomplished once since 1900 by Jim Tobin in 1942. Tobin hit a go-ahead 2-run HR in B8 to put the Braves up 6-4 and he held on to pitch a complete game 6-5 win. Tobin was a wartime superstar for the Boston Braves who amassed X HRs that season but was done shortly after the war. The greatest other combined pitching/hitting game I know of was Rick Wise's no-hitter in 1971 when he also had X HRs in the game. #RavensFlock #MLBPlayoffs"
