"The US Minerals deal to Ukraine was $500 billion for the US and nothing for Ukraine as a payback for past US aid (i.e. less than $100 billion) and no security guarantees to protect Ukraine. Zelensky obviously rejected it and was very diplomatic basically saying "it's not ready yet must written legally correctly and connected with security guarantees." The story that came of the "talks" was that Scott Bessent (US Secretary of the Treasury) put the proposal in front of Zelensky and just said "Sign it". When trump was made aware of Zelensky rejection of the deal this is when trump went ballistic"
