"Survival is all you need to do in this market. Don't take unnecessary risk on uncertain bets. Risk big when you have conviction but even then leave room for error. The market can always throw you a curveball. Especially this market. Many of the people that are around for multiple cycles have seen their portfolio's & net worths evaporate 80%+ many times over. I don't want to go out and say that this is "normal" or has to happen to you first. But it does show that you can always bounce back from these large hits and usually it ends up being the best learning experience you can have in the end."

"$BTC Even though price made a new all time high on Sunday it ended up coming right back where it closed on Friday. Classic weekend squeeze and retrace. Bitcoin did end up making a relatively small gap on the CME futures chart but nothing noteworthy. There's still the larger gap at $110K from last weekend but I wouldn't value that until price gets within a few % from it. Especially if this trend keeps going into price discovery you often see big gaps left behind on both the CME chart & Liquidity levels"

"$BTC Did a good job recovering some ground on Friday before the CME close. This makes it so we're likely to stick around this $107K level during the weekend. Stocks ended up closing near their weekly highs as gold came off a bit. For me BTC has to hold on to its $105K area going forward. That's my line in the sand in the short term. For every X year cycle believer this would indicate that the cycle is close to an end. Whether this ends up being true or not no one knows with absolute certainty. "$BTC Probably a good time to start scaling out more heavily once this reaches the light green/yellowish region ($140K-$200K). If price gets there that'd be a very reasonable level in my opinion. My base case for this cycle has always been $120K-$150K when we traded at $20K. So to already be in that price region is great. Just wish I held more BTC relatively and didn't underperform on some alts during this cycle. I guess that's the struggle many have had this cycle lol. "Think we need to clarify what's defined as liquidation. Generally we mean perp/futures positions liquidated. The global open interest BEFORE the flush was $120B or so. So it is impossible to get to these insane numbers unnless the entire open interest (which is both longs and shorts) got liquidated re-entered and got liquidated again with X left. I believe the more reasonable estimate is $30B-$40B. Not these clickbait amounts"

"$BTC October has begun. Some statistics about October: X. October has historically been BTC's 2nd best month in terms of November. Coming in behind November. X. "Most charts look the same. Took $DOGE here as an example. X. Sharp sell off Friday evening into the giant wicks. X. Initial bounce usually topping about halfway through the entire move (which often went -XX% or more). X. Sideways chop X. Another -XX% to -XX% sell off on most alts. X. Slight bounce for now. "$ETH This high timeframe chart with Open Interest shows you the amount of OI that was lost. ETH got hit particularly hard. What is good to see is that the open interest is now at levels when ETH traded $3K. Meanwhile price is now at $4K. A simple rule of thumb for me whether we've seen a good reset or not is if open interest sits lower than it did previously at a specific price. Good to compare OI and price together as obviously an increase or decrease in price will generally make OI go up and down. Especially as there's also coins used as margin. "Regardless of $BTC only hitting its all time high last week the Bitcoin volatility index was sitting near its cycle lows. These two combined make for an interesting recipe as a big move often occurs with those two things. I've been talking about this for some time now. Sadly besides expecting a volatility spike this metric itself doesn't say much about the direction. "$BTC Funnily enough the market ended up opening with a gap below after the big rebound on Sunday. It's not a massive one but since I'm always here reporting these I think it's good to be aware of this. Below is still the gap around $110K. Obviously price did go to that point but since that was after the CME close the gap technically never got closed. This makes the CME chart turn into an interesting one here missing so much of the recent price action. Anyways keep an eye on these but as always don't value them too much. Especially if price is trading more than a few % away from them"

"When the collective altcoin market cap broke the 2017 all time high back in 2021 it pretty much tripled in the matter of X months. After already 12xing the XX months prior (from the covid lows). Insane returns and not something we'll ever see again as the environment was perfect back then. But to not expect this to at least squeeze a decent amount upon a convincing break also wouldn't be right. But for now the chart is looking a little weird with this insane wick. Funnily enough it's still a higher low on the collective market cap though. I don't think we'll see the parabolic kind of price"

Now testing the .786 fibonacci retracement level from this move up and also when measuring from the wick on other exchanges. Coinbase pair didn't go as low. "$BTC Been hunting liquidity for the past few months. With this recent flush being by far the biggest one (especially on alts obviously). Every time BTC consolidates for several weeks only to take out a local high/low and fully reverse after. This has been amazing for range traders. These are also the coins I like trading most during times like these and the ones that generally give you the best risk/reward when looking for longs. For me a move back below $100K would mean this is due for a larger and longer correction. At that point there will be many doubts about whether the cycle is done or not.
