"Not going to try and analyze the root cause here. It could be a myriad of reasons. But the missed tackles issue popped up against Washington late likely due to fatigue and was an issue throughout the game versus Nebraska. Especially in the second and fourth quarters. I do know that the previous AD cutting scholarships has led to an inability to conduct full contact practices due to a fear of further injury to a squad that is young/inexperienced and largely lacks depth. Whatever the cause be it Technical i.e. incorrect angles poor footwork not wrapping up going for strips etc. (or) Physical"
