I think its problematic as we see particularly in politics to say that theres only one right way to do/experience something. Scotties perspective works for him. Doesnt mean he doesnt care. One of the reasons why I think Scottie is so good is because the awesomeness of winning only lasts a couple minutes. If it was longer hed potentially become complacent or satisfied.
