"The Mountain West wont negotiate down from what they already have withheld. The court wont order the Mountain west to collect less the lawsuit by Boise state says the exit fees are invalid not that they are too high. Essentially a court is not going to order the mountain west to settle down its either going to say XXX% of the exit fees are valid or X% of the exit fees are valid. And the mountain west isnt going to accept less in a settlement offer than what theyve already withheld Why would they They already have the money The departing schools just dont have leverage over the mountain west"

"Its stronger as a basketball league prolly But its not like having Reno UNLV and UNM wouldnt help it be even stronger but the appeal of dumping SJSU Air Force Wyo I get especially in B ball. Just considering its size (8 is a real small) and the new PAC doesnt really have any expansion targets and its going to cost these schools a lot Wasnt worth destroying the old MW but thats the the path they chose. I dont think the departing schools did this to create two small zombie G5 concurrences on the west coast"
