This means that if you are computing tax for a minimum wage earner you simply make it zero irrespective of the N800k base allowance. "NTA 2025 Sec 20(4) appears not to be very forward looking. This says that for costs incurred in a currency other than NGN you MAY only claim the NGN equivalent at CBN rate. It is premised on the fact that biz people will always access FX at CBN rate. Is this always possible"

"The simple answer is "No". The N2m he withdrew in this case for my accounting friends is called drawings. This is not a business cost. Rather it is a personal spend. In fact this reduces capital unless it will be repaid in which case it is a loan to your dad. 2/"
