"Just passed XX enrollments (target 86) for RCT of steroids for pancreatitis. Seems like we are seeing less severe pancreatitis +/- ARDS these days and I wonder if changes in fluid management have impacted this Has anyone else noticed less severe pancreatitis recently"

"One principle of clinical trials is to generally try to exclude those not sick enough to warrant the intervention. Did that happen here About XX% never required vasopressors but only had hypotension (could have been transient). Also upon randomization about XX% already had an aline in place - did that mean that at least "some" of the others did not make a clinician's threshold for an aline for some reason 2/"
