"Coeur Mining has $590M in debt and they are buying back shares. 😂 This is my #1 rated silver miner but their board is out to lunch. First they sell all of their Avino shares at less than $X per share (they held more than XX% of Avino's shares). Now they do this. They actually believe this is best for shareholders and the best way to use their cash. It reminds me of Washington politicians who believe the budget deficit (debt) is not dangerous. Hint: First you pay off your debt then you buy back shares. That is the correct order. But nobody does this so everyone thinks it's okay to ignore"

"Newmont: Q2 results. 1.48M oz at $1650 AISC. $1.7B FCF. Trading at a XX FCF multiple. Did $1B in share buybacks. Qtrly XX cent dividend. Announced $3B share buyback program. Only paid down $372M in debt. They appear not to be concerned with paying off debt (typical hubris). $6.2B in cash. $7.1B in debt. Guidance for 2025 is 5.9M oz at $1650 AISC. I expect production to drop in Q3 from their recent divestments. Perhaps to 1.4M oz. FCF is expected to be lower in Q3 but we can expect more than $1B. At a certain point Wall St will begin to buy Newmont and its FCF multiple will rapidly increase by"

"20x is unlikely except for a few stocks that you hold. 10x is possible for many juniors. I have Newmont as a 4-bagger and Agnico-Eagle as a 3-bagger. If those are the bar then many will 2x and 3x the bar. My target is 5x for gold miners and 8x for silver miners (on average) -- if you do a good job of stock picking"
