"I want to be clear on this. This may come off as FUD -but that's truly not where it comes from. We still hold nearly X figs of $hype in the crypto funds that I really don't want to sell. It is tough enough as a fund manager to find an altcoin with a big enough target market clear PMF and revenue and epic value accrual. "Great thread @0xdoug. How about how ADL should function on a platform when the user is running a long / short strategy. Feels like there has to be a change then to how the ADL is performed as not a single institutional player would participate with uncertainty of being ADL'd on its short and then being left naked long. Exactly what happened to me today on @HyperliquidX where my short profits should've way outdone by long losses but ADL closed my shorts at extremely high prices leaving naked longs to get liquidated seconds after at ridiculous low arbitrary prices. To add insult to injury it"

"This is so highly misleading by only focusing on the ADL on the largest coins which suffered from far less price discolation and ADL overall than other coins If you are running a long / short book as I was you are long these assets below not short them This also looks at ADL in a vacuum and without regard to anything else in an account Your larger shorts are going to be in the other top XX alts that are dog shit imo (ATOM STX APT FET) - those shorts closed much earlier and blew you out leaving with only longs to liquidate your account There are so many other places where the @HyperliquidX"

"Few understand how hard it is to actually survive many years in crypto. You couldve just DCAd BTC and chilled completely discounts how many ways you could still end up zerod out in this crazy industry. Even if you only DCA'd Bitcoin over time - You kept it on Mt. Gox FTX Voyager Celsius. - You self-custodied but lost your seed or got hacked. - You lent it for safe yield on Gemini or BlockFi - You took profits then coins went down bad and got obliterated by taxes. - You tried leverage perps just once. And this doesn't even address the mental / psychological toll of it all. And that's the crazy"
