"Buying a luxury car (or any car in general) is NOT an appreciating asset. The opportunity cost of not investing that money and buying a used vehicle can be massive. If you dont have a tremendous amount of expendable money buy used or lease a vehicle. No matter what vehicle you buy expect a minimum XX% drop in value the day you drive it off the lot. Technology is rapidly improving which tanks the value of cars only 4-5 years old. Tesla is not exempt from this. The good news for Tesla (and only Tesla) is your depreciating asset will only get better than its original state with constant software"
