"If you exclude AI then the US economy is just like Germany stagnating at 0%. XX% of US GDP growth is from AI and AI related industries. If this bubble pops for god knows what reason then the US is fucked because immediately you have a massive recession + the kickstart of a reinforcing of devaluation and inflation. This is are then pre WW2 dynamics (which hopefully will not lead to WW3 but rather default). Only radical improvements in productivity can save the USA and Germany. "TBH in my opinion most datacenters built today will be obsolete a few years from now. Just like Africa skipped landlines we can skip these GPU datacenters. Focus should be with 10x or 50x the resources on projects like FZJ Jlich quantum computing. Energy wise out of necessity revive what we have but forget about nuclear all in on solar + storage both installations and R&D. Overall Germany needs a strategy for Mittelstand XXX. if nothing happens most will die out of the combination of bureaucracy horrible economic outlook and demography. Not too many smart people with foresight in politics"
