"To clarify why there's no "paperwork backlog" post de minimis: The new system is automated So $XXX packages now are processed the same as $800+ packages. (Using the US govts ACE Customs online platform and the same 7501 form.) So the UPS meltdown isnt fr processing delays. 4/"

"There were snafus w/ postal shipments. But that's X% of de minimis packages. Most go UPS/FedEx/DHL or air cargo. Some nations temp. paused package delivery to US (not mail). The US systems update for postal was slow. That's fixed. Theres no permanent ban on postal packages. 5/"
