You don't get to negotiate your salary with your company based on what you extrapolate you will do in the next X years even with a handful of concrete contracts. The reality is the league has never turned a profit in over XX years so there is absolutely no way that these players can negotiate from a place of strength. What they *should* do is try to shorten the negotiation window and come back to the table in say X years.
