"Mine too. And none of them seem to have any idea about the multiple additions and/or major renovations the White House undergone before. The actual White House isnt even being touched this time. Just the old east wing addition is being reconstructed. Ive heard it was found to be full of asbestos which if true would mean it needed to be torn out and rebuilt if only for that reason alone"

"Im actually very patriotic and have been all XX years of my life. Come from a military family. Dad was a combat pilot in WWII brother was a Marine. The White House and both wings(which were added long after the original structure) the addition of a second story the gutting of the entire interior in the late 40s along with numerous other installations and changes to both the interior and exterior over the years( including by Democrats) didnt wreck our history and this wont either. I repeat I do not care what renovations or remodeling are done to it whether necessary upgrades or personal"
