"Also when I first started I went all it with threads but I had a ton of lock contention with the mutex I set. I tried to go atomic/lockless but it still sucked. Turns out just a straight no-thread loop is best. Fork the process for the number of cores on your machine set affinity so it stays X worker per core. Super duper duper fast"

"@hvent90 I was bummed that Odin didnt have async because I thought I would need it to be truly fast. What I learned is that linux has these epoll system calls where you can feed a bunch of sockets and then wait for it to notify you when they have data. async without async and fast"
