"Been long Subaru $7270 JP for a while @stoked_on_waves via $FUJHY. I think someone mentioned it in my GC. Down 11%. Ill buy more. They have a ton of cash. Trade at just 1.4x NCAV. And around XX% of book. 9.4B in negative net debt. Trades at around 10x normalized earnings. Also buyback program for a few years now and X% of shares buyback announced. And low payout ratio dividends. Whats not to like"

"@BasedStatistic Yeah but VIX calls arent reliable crash hedges. They depend on a big vol spike which doesnt always happen. It's far better to hedge with SPY/SPX puts. They gain from both market drops and rising implied volatility offering more consistent protection during crashes"

"@LibreTradingOrg It depends. If I buy stocks below XX% or below XX% of tgbv I discard most quality metrics such as healthy debt. Bc the valuation is low given much higher BK risk If I buy a stock at 10x normalized earnings or XX% of book then I want a better balance sheet or income statement"
