They are rich in natural resources built alternative channels to monetise those directly with BRICS nations and their central bank accumulated a ton of gold for a long time. Also not all their tech is rubbish and the war isn't going nearly as badly for them as mainstream media would have you believe. Putin isn't interested in conquering all of Ukraine OR in ending the war. He's trying to bring down American hegemony and he's been doing a great job"
