"Indeed on sol they would be limited to only putting the token transaction part on-chain and the rest would go on web2. That is the rest could also go on ICP of course once they figure that out for a fully on-chain solution. On Ethereum apps would be limited to those that can motivate horrendous gas fees. Reality is apps are split up putting as little as devs can get away with on expensive Ethereum and the rest on web2.
