Why didnt I personally buy a bigger business X years ago I will share my own reasons buying smaller (100 pct self funded purchased a deal with only XX pct SBA debt and a business I could have paid all cash for). 1) I spend X decades as an investment banker and then hedge fund analyst/portfolio manager so I was honest I had never operated a business before.
