"Wheelchair engineering question; I bought one of those ubiquitous import powerchairs with the small lithium batteries last year to provide emergency cover but it isn't useable with current tyres. The wheels simply won't come off. Is it possible they've used retaining compound"

"Plastic caps retaining nuts and four (4) washers all came off fine but the wheel won't budge even with significant application of my articles of persuasion. I could make a special wheel puller but I don't want to have to and don't want apply one if retaining compound's present"

"I realise an on-off switch sounds like a simple thing but in testing I have to be able to easily access it and it has to be XXX% reliable. Shielded cable would be ideal too. Part of me's wondering about using a locking audio jack connector. @2e0rtb any ideas"

"@2e0rtb I'd have to look in the manual for the motor controller. That's where I got the details from. It's an MDC2460. Sadly electronics is something where my knowledge is rudimentary. From what I can tell the manual just recommends keeping that pin grounded to keep it switched off"
