"Depends on your definition. $ULTY is operating as it is intended to do. The NAV will evolve heavily depending on the underlying basket performance. Just like any stock/ETF if the market pulls back ULTY will too. It has been maintaining XX% distribution rate for a while hence the "ultra income". It is also only X% away from all-time highs (total return adjusted). If investors want to smoother performance between NAV and income ULTY should likely be blended with other funds in a "mini-portfolio" approach"
