"The current form of Buildernet doesnt produce a better outcome for a validator neither makes it worse - the refund program is not different from what happens with centralized peers. Still from users perspective there are benefits working with a transparent sequencer"

"The core idea behind Jito BAM is similar to Buildernet: open-source sequencers combined with TEEs. In this setup Solana skips the "early PBS" wild west phase and moves straight into the Buildernet stage. Currently sequencer competition happens mostly through the development of new clients and swQoS/landing services on the validator side. This situation is arguably inconvenient and opaque and introduces potential risks"
