"Nah Im down with the sale. Discovery already exploded. Use the cash to buy back more shares. Plenty of other Sploders they can buy too. Plus this was a good defensive move against Barrick. At this rate I see this being like the merger between CBOT and CME. CBOT was the top futures exchange forever. They blew it and CME took control. Newmont can do that with Barrick if they play this right"

"From their 10-Q: XX% of loans originated to buy their houses come from FHA VA USDA. And other agency (likely guaranteed by Fannie and Freddie) takes 69%. So much of their sales depend on gov extending that cheese to buyers. It boggles my mind that he is in charge of overseeing all those lending agencies"
