"Today has been full of ups and downs. His lungs are starting to heal so they have turned the suction on the chest tubes off. They had to sedate him more and extubation was not an option. More fractures were found today and he is still unable to move his right arm. Many of you know we buried our only daughter Emerson Coles twin. Cole survived and was born at a little over four pounds and has been a warrior ever since. Today we have been overwhelmed at the miracles that God has blessed us with even in the pain. We know the pain of losing a child. I was preparing myself to say goodbye to him"

And now Im sitting on the brown tile in a square room surrounded by equipment i never thought we would need wondering if Ill ever stop crying. "Today we had to go to Littleton ER by ambulance because Coles hand is infected. That was obviously not something either of us wanted or needed but we got through it. Because of the unexpected trip I was late to pick up my groceries and I couldnt make dinner for the rest of my family. But our neighbor showed up with the most amazing meal and I brought it up to the rehab facility and we had an amazing meal together. A day that could have been so bad ended in smiles and fellowship and I cannot tell you how grateful I am for that 💜💜. Thank you all for selflessly including us in your prayers. I"

"I am waving the white flag. I CANNOT stand watching my child suffer with horrific pain and anxiety. His HR was through the roof last night and all of his monitors were screaming with alerts multiple times. I HATE this. But I cannot surrender. I have to cry and pray and ask God for the answers and strength that I need to advocate for him. So after spending an hour this morning with the charge nurse and lead nurse I am hopeful in a new pain management decrease his anxiety and nutrition plan 💜💜💜. We need prayers"

The neurologist already came by and he will be conducting a nerve study next Tuesday on his right arm As I was decorating his room a praying mantis was right outside his window 💜💜.
