"TEIA has solid guardrails with its contractual obligations so it has a layer of protection. Meanwhile the NEAR folks just ignored those off chain polls and did whatever they felt like. Imagine this. Someone proposes printing a billion Tezos straight to their wallet. If that proposal makes it through the full governance process meaning the bakers voted YAY then boom at the end of the Adoption Period the protocol takes over. No extra human approval needed.
