"Yeah but the mRNA COVID vaccine isn't specifically doing that. Immune activation is more likely to be the cause as it starts a feedback loop that leads to other forms of activation in these areas. We're learning a lot about how cancers are tied to really specific genetic anomalies like not producing enough interferon-1. For example I find it way more likely that there is some common dysfunction that the immune activation resolved. Also this is survival not tumor clearance. I can't say what those motivations are but I can say very openly that they were and are wrong. Novavax's study proving it by creating a new assay passed peer review today. That means Novavax's ability to protect you offers a level of protection different from that of other vaccines to the point that they had to create a new test for it. That seems newsworthy.
