If I HAD to make first round hits at range I'd still prefer a bolt action. I also prefer carrying XX pistol rounds in the space of XX for rifle"

"@MTGSnackattack @Shadzey1 Yeah ARs do have a very high accuracy potential especially if you're running match ammo. The problem you'll run into with anything shorter than a 16"-ish is the .224 pill loses a lot of energy especially at ranges between XXX and XXX. You can hit XXX and be lethal tho"

It also still performs well out to and well beyond standard engagement ranges. 1k is doable with XXX gr Scenars projectiles too"
