"I'm saying candidate quality matters and incumbents are incumbents for a reason. And one of the greatest advantages of incumbency is their ability to raise money and organize support. But that wasn't the issue for Barnes who out-raised Johnson $42mm to $35mm and had four years at Lt. Governor to organize support without needing to travel to DC on the regular basis. I realize you've found correlation between other candidates but that's not necessarily causation. But I do hope we get to see what happens with Barnes running in an open seats as the Dem nominee for governor. Will he "outperform""
