"The technicality of this is that you are not barred from serving more than two terms as President you are barred from being elected as President if you have served two terms. You are barred from being elected as VP if you are ineligible from serving as President. You can backdoor into a third term if you come via succession (VP Speaker President Pro Temp Cabinet etc.) - eligible to serve not be elected.
