"Parliament has been informed that the loan of US$190Million (Shs699.938Bn) that Government is seeking from Stanbic Bank as buyout for Umeme is away above the US127.66Million (Shs467.863Bn) the company hasnt recovered as part of its investment in Uganda. The revelation was made by John Bosco Ikojo Chairperson National Economy Committee while presenting a report on the proposal by Govt to borrow US$190M for Umeme buyout where he noted that evidence from the Regulator indicates that Umeme has recouped most of its investment in Uganda"
