"I can't exactly pinpoint the chronology but it seems to me America's obesity and diabetic epidemics began about the same time we were told not to eat fat. At my house we use butter Olive oil and lard no vegetable oils and very little simple carb. My diabetic housemate has lost XX lb and has his blood sugar under control for the first time in years mostly without insulin. I know that's anecdotal but it didn't happen by magic. We all choose what to believe"
