"A lot of Traders will disagree with me on this. I don't think measuring Trading performance in "Units of R" is a good idea. An unfiltered rant Imagine a Company saying "we generated $40000 in revenue this month". While it looks good on the outside if the costs of the Company were $39000 then they would have to say "we generated $1000 in profit this month" which doesn't look as cool. As Traders we have to pay fees for all the trades we take. Even if you aren't trading on the X minute timeframe you still have to deal with funding payments + slippage which are definitely a REAL cost of business"
