"Thats right but he also separated himself to join another company and of course the biggest benefit would go to his new company. all those benefits should have been under SM since he had an exclusive contract (which he eventually breached). Cha Ga Won filed a lawsuit against the settlement between CBX and SM so that CBX wouldnt have to pay the XX% IP fee. The IP fee was imposed because CBX still has a valid legal contract that cannot be terminated as it was already signed. Their contract lasts until December 2026 (after being shortened by SM)"

"@Shio86920219501 @Heilyn1184 they can. But they signed it after all. CBX agreed to pay SM XX% of their revenue in exchange for being allowed to establish their own companies and use EXOs IP while they still in exclusive contract with sm. They cant break the agreement just like that"

"because their signed exclusive contract with sm. means sm can manage all their activities as group or solo. but they breached the contracts. Then sm agreed they can establish their own company and manage their own solo activities and also using exo ips + reduce their contract from X years to X years. So they must pay XX% from their solo activities"
