"I get your point about probabilistic security cryptographic primitives like hashes also have non-zero failure probabilities. But thats not the issue here. The difference is where verification happens. In Babylons vaults the logic of who gets the BTC (repay default liquidate) runs off-chain and Bitcoin only checks a hash preimage. That means correctness depends on honest off-chain setup and challenger liveness not deterministic verification by Bitcoin Script. So its fair to call it trust-minimized but not trustless in the Bitcoin sense. The trust didnt disappear it just moved from signers to"

My point is mainly about scope: calling the entire system trustless seems to conflate component-level soundness with end-to-end trustlessness. Even with cut-and-choose providing strong probabilistic guarantees and the borrower able to act as a challenger the correctness of the lending logic itself remains verified off-chain not by Bitcoin. So perhaps its more precise to describe this as trust-minimized to the practical limit of Bitcoins verification model. I greatly"
