"imo the problem w farcaster has always been that it couldn't contain multiple metas well. like one conversation at a time and this one has been dominating. the vibe has suffered. but we could collectively talk about other things. some people try but it rarely catches on. during the channels era it felt a bit different and most alive imo. maybe channels + degen + frames. curious if either of you agree tokens could scale to become pseudo channels but there aren't enough (good) tokens and of course they make a space inherently financial"

"i think fc is doing that; tokens (erc20s) as a first-class citizen is a primitive. farcaster is the only wallet i've ever attempted onboarding my irl friends with and it worked. they'll likely never use the social features but other people might. this depends entirely on the tokens that populate the platform. if tokens are "content" what scale audience is that appealing too tokens exist on a spectrum they can be short-term or long-term or have elements of both which does leave interesting design space. farcaster is incentivized to incubate tokens but it's tough af. clanker acquisition was"
