"UNLV basketball loses by XX to Washington in their first exhibition game. Both teams had fully revamped rostersso this game was good for UNLV as a measuring stick & for film to make improvements. I wasnt too disappointed with UNLVs play. Looks like Pastner is really wanting to push the ballsomething that will appease old school UNLV fans. "What this "MD" is saying flies in the face of what many professionals like Curt (former MLB pitcher & XX yr throwing coach Tom House is another example) know to be true. Curveballs and ESPECIALLY sliders are brutal on youth arms.because of most youth are torquing their forearm against the natural pronation & putting a lot of force on the elbow. My son's HS team had two of the starters get TJ surgery.it was simply too many sliders that did it. My son pitched in college and in HS used good fastball placement & a two-seam that had excellent movement (with an occasional curveball tbh). He was one"
