"not to glaze too much but remember when everyone clowned the twitter to x rebrand like how could elon just throw away one of the most iconic internet brands of all time overnight what an idiot. turns out he was right. no one cares anymore. the x brand stuck. & now its permanently fused with elon. elon is x x is elon. some people may not even know it was ever called twitter might think he built it from scratch. thats absurdly powerful because at that moment it became his. he basically rewrote history in many ways jack dorsey invented twitter but elon invented x"

"intensity is one thing but whats really interesting in modern culture is that breakups used to be life events now theyre almost seasonal. the churn rate is pretty ridiculous esp in places like nyc. weve basically financialized romantic attachment in many ways not unlike high frequency trading. & just like in markets each transaction prolly has slippage e.g. psych costs that potentially compound over time. were participating in a radically more fluid accelerated & disposable system. thats a huge recent change"
