"So the story goes - we started building generative art and @LukaPiskorec is a smart cookie and insists we do all this object-oriented stuff and looping gif animation renders. He's right - in the end he's 100% right but let me say that it was harder than anything I could have figured out on my own. I have no problem tipping the hand that I'm a mid-wit - but the end product of this art is better than what I could have come up with. It's hypnotizing looping crisp gif stuff. The HyperCards flesh out the milieu and the concept of the project but these are the form/tech achievement probably."

"These days Thoreau usually gets the typical critique about Walden being basically written from a playhouse next to a city where he had a constant stream of visitors. More of a narcissists idea of hermetical life than a real one. I still like some of his prose though. I have a collection of excerpts from his letters and journals and even outside Walden he was just a brilliant stylist in the way he talks about nature the spiritual element in the wilderness life alone and life together - I think he deserves a renaissance.(23/25)"
