"Definitely can find lower risk less popular shorts but from my experience the best shorts are the thematic over hyped parabolics ( see SMCI MSTRCRCL recently). Ultimate mean reversion trades but have to be pretty much dead on with your timing or cut QUICKLY to avoid getting run over. Favorite short setup for equities by FAR. but rare.
