"It's not a prediction of "tomorrow things change". It's acknowledging that the new technology is putting leverage in business that previously was not there. It's not about "AI influencers" or content slop or vibe coding. It's about things we observe in our daily professional lives: - data analysis is easier now - ai enables senior devs code faster - aggregating research is exponentially faster - learning (customized curriculum) is more effective - translation of information is accessible and cheap Those above eliminate so much human labor without even AGI. Not even counting academic research"

"There is a pattern here a pattern of abstraction: I'm old enough to claim the title "Full Stack Developer" which meant: - raw PHP (4.0) - raw SQL - raw CSS/HTML (sent from server) - jQuery if you're lucky but JavaScript really. Times have changed. Younger guys are "framework devs". Many never needed to learn the language because framework existed.(Laravel Nodejs Next etc). So understanding the fundamentals (like SQL) is beyond their scope. Because "Y tho we got orm" . The next wave of "devs" are going to be vibecoders. "That's an issue with many vc founded startups: they can tolerate losing money for months and none the wiser to check why (investors are too detached).
