"It is not deception when it is factual. At this moment you can't buy shielded $ZEC directly without buying transparent $ZEC first. Most exchanges (except perhaps Gemini) do not offer withdrawing shielded $ZEC. Thus it is safe to say that any new user who wants to purchase with fiat/stables or swap their existing altcoins to $ZEC will most likely obtain transparent $ZEC first before withdrawing to a "t" address and then manually shielding it (if they know how or remember to do so). Given this process it is not inaccurate to say that Zcash is not private by default. One of the weakest marketing"
