"I have a similar observation myself. There's a shift in how much time I spend in the editor vs in diff/prompt sessions and while the agentic work is significant the old IDE part did not disappear. There's also the whole world beside the code editor that is part of the IDE after all that we continue to depend on. There's also need to go outside the terminal view and more tightly integrate with other tools.
