"@macrium @Seagate The root cause of the problem is the @Seagate drive: apparently the HD uses SMR (shingled magnetic recording) which chokes under backup workloads. Windows just sees the error and gives up. Finger pointing but both parties could handle this better. Solution 64K blocks:"
