"I opened twitter to make a post about this. Trending in discover is incredibly problematic and random I don't even care about this map specifically. They just take a map that's growing fast (you can just do a sponsor as a big youtuber or make a vbuck contest) and give it an insane boost. It's completely nonsense I have never seen such a thing in other algorithm-based platforms. "if they die after being removed from EP it's because they are not good enough. There are countless games added to EP that are simply not fun game loops especially for the fortnite player base. I say this because I got into EP many times and every time the map died right after being removed. A good change for epic picks imo would be to choose games that are keeping good stats (playtime retention ratings) and boost those because you know that by featuring them you're going to showcase a good game. "I agree with you if we talk purely about generative AI where you just sit there and let it do your job. But AI is still a crazy tool especially if you're alone building things that usually require more people. I 100% agree with what you said on the code aspect of it coding alone is way better for the brain. But for example Cursor's auto complete only saves you time by filling those annoying and repetitive things to write it doesn't code for you. I only see positive aspects in AI tools like that.
